Bioinformatician INSERM at MGX (Montpellier)

The MGX platform (Montpellier GenomiX) is recruiting a bioinformatics research engineer through an external INSERM competition for the analysis of sequencing data.

The MGX platform serves the Montpellier biomedical community by offering numerous applications based on high-throughput sequencing: transcriptomics (RNA-seq, smallRNA-seq), including on single cells (single cell RNAseq), identification of variants (point mutations, SNPs , indels, CNV), genotyping (RAD-seq, GBS), chromatin and epigenomic architecture (ChIP-seq, RRBS, WGBS), including on single cells (single cell ATAC-seq). The platform is a member of the central core of the France Génomique national infrastructure, labeled by the GIS IBiSA and certified ISO9001 and NF X50-900.

The recruited person will be responsible for designing, organizing and carrying out the collection and analysis of data from high-throughput sequencing (NGS). She/He will contribute significantly to the platform’s R&D activities. She/He will participate in the management of the computing and storage infrastructure, supervise contractual bioinformatician staff and organize internal and external training.
